Default How Hard To Fit HID's

I know the HID discussion has been done to death, but how hard is it to fit them?

The ones on eBay all say plug and play, but are they really?

I've seen a how to on here but it was done a fair few years ago when the kits were around £250.

Also would I need any adapters or cancellers etc?

It depends on what you want to buy. my advice is go for something that everybody recommends ,something from hid direct (this is what i got)
It took something like 30 mins to Ian to do it (once again Ian you`re the man) and it looks AMAZING!!!!

I bought my canbus pro kit from www.hids4us.com approx 3 years ago for my facelift Vectra.

To fit was pretty much plug and play. Bumper off, headlights removed, and I mounted the ballasts in the dedicated spot under the headlights (where factory fit ones go) http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...=1#post1060742

Took me just over an hour in total to fit.

Only problem that occured was that one of the multiplugs wouldn't go through the 22 mm hole I cut in the headlight rear cover for the rubber gromet. I simply removed the plug by inserting some watchmakers screwdrivers to release the locking clips, pushed the wires through ,and reconnected the plug.

No bulb warning errors, no additional cancellors to fit. All the necessary electronics for that are built into the ballasts.

    The link doesn't work.

Do you really have to remove the bumper? Can you not just remove washer bottle neck and air box.

So, the wiring for them.... You unplug the connector for the headlight... Plug it into one end of the HID cabling and then connect the other end to the HID bulb?

They are not quite plug and play, you do need to cut a hole in your existing bulb cover/cap for the hid's to fit thru. Taking the front bumper off is a 5 minute job

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

Thanks for the replies. Is the hole just for the wiring to pass through?
