DMF not as bad as I thought

Well I popped my car into my local friendly garage to get the sump plug removed as it was rounded off, they said they would just do it for free as I've used them a few times. They changed the oil and filter which I provided too. Anyways, since it was in I asked them to quote me for a new dmf and clutch as I thought the dmf was on its way out as it was rattling very loudly on idle.
So they rang me up last night and said the oil change was done and that they put the car up on the ramps to investigate the rattle and they are pretty sure it was just caused by ........ a loose exhaust bracket vibrating on the exhaust!!! Happy days, so he is going to weld it up for me this morning and drop it round by lunchtime.

So, for the first time in a long time, it's good news from the garage lol!

Wouldn't the whole car vibrate if the DMF was on the way out.

Yep, great news buddy! It was Cooleys Garage in Coningsby I used. Got the car back and the rattle has totally vanished. It idled silently (compared to what it did). Glad I never took it to Mr Clutch and asked for a new dmf and clutch lol or they prob would have just did it without investigating. There is no vibration either, I just presumed the rattle was dmf failure as it was in roughly the same area.
