    Default CDTI Air Conditioning fault

I'm sure there was a similar thread to this recently but I can't find it now.

When I first bought my car there was a delay in power before the car would take off at about 2000rpm. The problem was notably worse with the A/C switched on.

A few weeks after buying the car a new inlet manifold was fitted but no difference. I cleaned the EGR valve and boost sensor but still there was no difference.

In June I had the car remapped and the EGR deleted which has cured the flat spot with the A/C switched off but it seems to be getting worse with the a/c switched on.

When pulling away the car feels very easy to stall (and I have done a few times) and when you put the boot down at 1500rpm the car doesn't noticably pick up speed but as soon as it reaches 2000rpm it takes off like a rocket.

Fuel economy is terrible with the A/C switched on too....my theory is that the a/c compressor may be starting to seize up but I can't find any relevant threads to suggest anyone else has had the same problem (apart from the one I mentioned at the start of this thread but I can't find it now )

Has anyone else come across this problem on a Vec or any other VX?

I would be surprised if the A/c pump was seizing , i would normally put it down to a faulty egr but you have eliminated that, possibly clean or replace the maf?

Their is a how2 guide on this.

It's not the EGR as it was disabled during the remap. I'll give the MAF a clean but it would explain why the problem is only there with that A/C switched on
