    Default Vectra C Turbo overheating

    Hi
My Vectra turbo is overheating, normally the temp gauge shows about 1/4 when i slow down it goes about 1/2 way then fan kicks in. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be.
    Thanks
    Andy

If the thermostat is faulty the radiator will not get warm if failed closed, otherwise if it has failed open then the car will take an age to warm up if it does, should sit at 87 degrees when warmed up , regardless of driving conditions, if your gauge drops when going down the motorway your thermostat is shot.

That sounds quite normal to me
It is showing a normal temperature during driving, then rising when you stop

I would be more worried if the radiator fan is continually having to switch on, say more than twice, as the engine coolant system reheats
    Is this the case?
