Default P0234 fault code, can anyone help.

Really at my wits end now with this, since I had my stage 2 remap and a new actuator fitted I've had nothing but problems with my motor going into limp mode.
Code is P0234 Boost Pressure Control Circuit Negative Deviation which I believe is to do with over boosting. Thorney tried for 3 days to sort it out by changing the actuator, boost sensor and adjusting the actuator but still no joy. Last thing they said to me was the wastegate was sticking as I lost the turbo completely and a new turbo is needed. Can't see why as she pulls like a train in 1st and 2nd then the problems start from 3rd upwards whilst getting to high revs and high boost (approx 15psi). Can anyone help.to the VXR

Done a bit of reading around, there's a lot of this about, general concensus is the most common cause is the boost sensors, but if you've already had those replaced, it does point towards either air leakage within the turbo or a sticking/malfunctioning wastegate, although apparently a blocked/partially blocked boost hose can cause the same problem, although I find that less likely to be a cause.

I noticed in one of your posts either on here or VXROnline that you said thorney fitted an Insignia actuator, are they definitely fully compatible/same length etc?

Right it looks like there might be light at the end of the tunnel. I've been without the motor since Monday morning but the garage have removed the turbo and checked it over, looked fine so they sent it off to a specialist for further investigation. They phoned me up this afternoon to say a electrical part on the turbo was found to be faulty and the warranty company have agreed to pay for a complete new turbo. Turbo will be with the garage on Monday so fingers crossed I'll have me baby back Tuesday/Wednesday .
Just goes to show ya that getting a separate warranty does pay off as my bill would have been thousands but all I'm paying is my excess of £75 and about £80 in the shortfall of the labour costs.

    Well she's sorted
the new turbo was fitted and finished tuesday but whilst the mechanic was on the way back from test driving it went into limp mode again?
Tuesday night however my mate found the new boost sensor I supplied still sitting in the passenger footwell but because we had already tried a different one on the car and it didn't help we didn't think nothing of it. But Wednesday afternoon before leaving work I thought I'd fit it anyway and hey presto problem gone.
The turbo was kinda faulty as it turned out the boost control solenoid was kaput.
