Got Flashed this afternoon....

Well finally cracked and gave in to the need to get a flash for my camera.

Canon offered me a £35 cashback on a 580EX, so got a reasonable deal from Amazon today and got this one ... Bl00dy thing is massive !!

EDIT: I dont know all the technical details, but I think this can give you a suntan from 58 meters away...

Yep, nice bit of kit their Mr Spoons - always got one in my bag along with the 550EX and the Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 for wireless control of them both off-camera.

Way to go thats the baby that sits on top of my canon, it has got everything you need in that turbo charged flash gun .

...exercise caution when using this product near actual people. The 23 trillion candlepower flash may cause retina burn to anyone stupid enough to be looking as you say "cheese"...

I've got one of these too, it's are the dogs danglies of flashguns for the Canon, my mate bought it & wasn't using it so I bought it off him at knockdown price (I've also got a 420ex & a MR-14ex for my off camera lighting ). If you think it's big on an SLR try using it on a compact camera, makes it a little top heavy

Thats what suprised me ,the batteries do last a while in there longer than what i thought they would .
I took over 50 pics on flash one night on batteries that had been in the gun for a while ,and still power at end of that session.
