I.T. Support?

I was at party last night and got talking to a friend of the host.

She is about to set up a business from home and needs some help to complete a wireless network.

She's particularly concerned about security, backing up data, using outlook on a number of machines and dealing with error messages if they occur.

In can do all of this but have zero time especially as its a business and she would need quick responces to any issues.

Can anyone recommend someone who provides IT support for clients working from home? If so what sort of costs should she expect?

She's based in Chester BTW.

I don't know of anyone in the Chester area, but I would start by looking at IT companies that have registered with the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses).

Depends what exactly she is looking for. I am a LAN / WAN Infrastructure support person for a large bank in Chester...

Expect for a support contract with 2 visits scheduled per month, unlimited remote support and telephone support and checking backups (someone will have to swap tapes) just under £3k per year for approx 10-15 people.
