    Default should i swap or not?

    Hi.

    I have an offer to swap my red 3.0 V6 sri cdti auto 2004 vectra for a dark blue 2.2 sri auto.

    Here are the stats:
    3.0 cdti V6
    112,000k on the clock
    EGR issues! EML keeps coming on and off...limp mode on and off!
    I love the pull though! But not feeling the eml on and off always! Cleaned the egr but still!

    2.2 sri auto petrol
    80k on the clock

    Not sure what else....

    Your thoughts will be appreciated.

    One thing i would like to know what has the better engine and in terms of remaps, has the 2.2 got potential??

    Anyone else?? The 3.0 V6 is joy to drive when the engine management light is off! It does what it feels like whenever it wants! I will test drive the 2.2 tmrw and see hw it feels.

    I am tempted! I need help, please vectra users!

    Whats the better drive and better engine!?

    The 2.2 is a 2005 model. All electrics! Aaarrgghhh! Cant decide....

    Keep the diesel - if its a recurring EGR issue, why not trawl ebay and get a new one and whack it on - better the devil you know and all that!

    I've driven the 2.2 in work and it is very smooth, but I'm a dirty diesel fan to be honest. Dont get a 2nd hand EGR - get a new one, there are loads on there and you dont want to buy somebody elses problem.
    A mate of mine has the 3.0 diesel and its a lovely drive - not as easy to remap than the 1.9, but with all that torque it shouldnt need a remap.
