anyone used pro bitz tuning box -- recommended or not?

a friend bought one thinking it would fit his renault,but found out it dont,so offered it to me for £45 fitted.
firstly,will it be good as a stop gap till i can afford a remap or ami asking for trouble.will it actually give better mpg if the car aint ragged or is that just crap

Tuning boxes are engine specific mate you would need to find out what it was fitted to

he bought it knowing it was originally for a veccy cdti,but thought it would also be good for his laguna.he spoke to a guy from pro bitz who then told him it was vauxhall specific.
they told him it is good for maybe 5-6 mpg more and boost of power.
not totally sure if its for a 150 or 120 mind so is it that specific .

I had a box from a 150 fitted to a 120 with no problems so your ok
