Default Few questions for those with Parrot mki9200

    Hi all

So I am looking at getting an mki9200, I currently have the CD30 + TID. I've been searching online for info & can't find exactly the info I need so if anyone has this kit I would really appreciate some feedback as it's a lot of £'s if I get it wrong! I also posted a couple of questions in a different thread which may have been overlooked so apologies if any duplication!

    1. Sound quality - how does either bluetooth or USB connection to iPhone (4) sound vs the standard CD30 HU given that the Parrot uses its own amp? I have read lots of conflicting reports on this.

    2. I have read that there is no seperate Bass/Mid/Treble control, just presets. Is this true?

    3. Sound quality for people I am calling - is this good quality at motorway speeds?

    4. Reliability - lots of conflicting reports on this, be good to understand if anyone has had any issues.

My alternative is to get a new HU with a USB/aux in and use a Bluetooth headset but if the Parrot is good I would prefer it as it will retain the OEM look of the car.

    Thanks!

I've been told by several people on here now that it is not possible to use the Mki9200 on a standard CD30.

I was going to get one in order to use the iphone but gave up as couldn't get a definitive answer as to whether it would work or not and due to its price didn't want to waste any money.

Might look into upgrading the H/U at some stage when finances are a bit more stable but will have to see first

That was what I was hoping Dave but when I asked in another thread they mentioned that the parrot uses the aux-in port thus making it not possible to use on the CD30

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...-mp3%29-aux-in

Hence the reason I didn't bother buying one

Parrot will work on Cd30. The USB, Aux & Apple cables just manipulate the external in. People assume it won't work as Cd30 cannot tolerate aux, but it doesn't need to in the case of the Parrot.

Right, I think I might just have to go a buy one then as I am getting fed up with burning CD's and not having any glovebox space to store anything lol

Regarding the ISO lead.......... Is it the SOT-122s lead I need (s being for steering wheel controls)???
