    confused 19" alloys info

hello am new to this forum i have a 03 vectra ls 1.8 16v. Its standard at the moment but looking at some of your pics it wont be for long! I love the look of the cars with 19"s on but just wondering if theres any problems. are the arches big enough and can the brakes and suspension handle them. thanks for any help you can give me.

yep, they will just bolt on, there will be no problems associated to the brakes or suspension..Payney runs a 1.8 that has 19" snowflakes and he's had no problems..

there's plenty of room in the arches for them, the only issues start at 20" with wheelarch clearance.

EDIT:...Oh, and welcome to the site BTW....

Just remember to have the speedo re-calibrated.

Or check the tyre calculator that the new wheels dont make the speedo run too slow or you risk a ticket.

    Are you sure Marky?

I was playing with the calculator last night and some of the figures were putting the speedo out by 6 mph.

Better let him know the tyre size to put on it then, as the profile will be different on some sizes, some i looked at only put it out by .5 of a mph, which isn't worth worrying about.
