Default Unplug EGR: Top one or bottom one or both

    Hi,

    Need help.

Which one shall i unplug. Car had EML on and is in limp mode. Diagnostics show that its the EGR. I have cleaned it and worked well for a bit. Then went back to limp mode.

Iv taken top plug off (egr) but only small difference. The bottom is the 'electrical one' i was told. Can i/should i take that off too. And hw?? Its hard to take off!

    Cheers
    M

try blanking it to see if any performance change but will leave light on but if it works use a blank with small hole in to stop it?

Yes i think i will get it blanked.

I was told blanking only works on the vacuum type egr valve and not the electrical one. Now the problem is i have not got a clue which one i have! Lol

I have ordered anyway but will seek advice on weather it will work/fit on my v6 3.0 cdto 2004

    Thanks
    M

it is recommended not to do such mods to this engine.

Performance filters personally I wouldn't put in my car as the oil coating you have to put on some of them could potentially break away and damage the MAF. That said however plenty on here have performance filters with no issues - I would say I'm just too paranoid that way.
