Right I have a question

If you remove the front and rear engine to subframe mountings

Can you drop the subframe without having to support the engine or will the engine need to be supported
I ask this as I was at the scrap yard the other day and there were a couple of vectra's there where people had unbolted the subframe and it was hanging down but the engine was in its normal place

It's should be fine due to being held in by other mounts.

However of its your own car probably worth supporting it anyway
