The Skoda's / Passat's have absolutely awesome Diesel engines in them... but they look rubbish.

The Mondeo's are really nice looking, and nice inside but don't feel as pokey as the Skoda's / Passat's.

Still not sure on the Insignia's.

I'd probably go for the Mondeo as I don't think I'd ever buy a Skoda and the Passat's just look plain.

    Any example pics of each?

Didnt think the Mondeo was any bigger than a Vec?

I like the look of the Passat cc but again dont think they any bigger than a Vec.

The Vec is actually quite a big car, loads of boat space, even biggger with the seats down.

What extra room do you want, load area, or passenger comfort?

mate at work had the skoda superb ,and did over 200k in it and it was still like new , the insignia is my choice ,( that maybe because it is the next up in line to the vectra imo ) vw/audi are built very well .

the vectra has gone , but not far away so ill still see it form time to time

The load is great but passenger comfort is terrible it's a tight squeeze with 3 passengers and I have long legs so if have to bring seat forward and am really uncomfortable. The mondeo has twice the legroom we had 4 passengers and luggage and still loads of room.

Mate of mine replaced his 2.2tdci Mondeo with a Skoda Superb tdi - reckons it's the best motor he's ever had. (that includes a 230 E class diesel Merc) Well worth a look, even if you do have to de-badge it!

ps I have seen a de-badged Superb, and it really did take a while to work out exactly what it was - took a sneaky peep at the steering wheel logo.....!
