Default SIMPLE MOD IDEA? Storage Tray Lighting...

    Simple mod idea?
Has anyone fitted an orange LED in the upper ceiling part of the storage tray under the radio, or likewise to the cup holders? Wondering if it might look quite good lit up on a night??

If so, where was the wiring feed taken from, and any pics etc??

Been done several times by people. Take the feed from any grey wire with a yellow stripe in the dash (standard dash lighting wire) and it will come on with the other dash lights.

Have a good search and you'll find someone who has done this with pics. Initially just one 24LED pad (or maybe a 36) but then added 2 more pads to increase the light spread.

Personally I'll add an LED strip and fix it all around the edge to get an even spread of light when I get round to doing mine. Take a feed from the footwell lights nearby, just a matter of finding a route for the wire to the current feed. Or I may add it to the courtesy light on the driver's side in the roof console so it comes on with a press of the button, not decided yet.

Thanks for that - I'm after discreet lighting so I'll probably order some LED's this week and give it a bash.
