thats the brightest set you'l probably get,. .the 4300 looks bang on and just like factory Xenon. I had 6000k in for a while but found them too white for my liking. Cheap mod and easy to fit, did mine in half an hour

Just jumping on the end of the thread here... Has anybody had any hassle regarding the supposedly updated DoT rules regarding HIDS?

I still want HID's but dont fancy the car failing its MOT or being pulled by the plod lol

Hey micky, just spoke to my mate who runs a mot garage, he says that a car fitted with an aftermarket hid kit will fail if the car doesnt have headlight washers fitted. And can also fail on poor light pattern, which he says alot of kits have, imm guessing the cheap kits.

    Hope this helps

Well,.. mine said different. Advised any car newer then 2009 without levellers and wash will fail - also said they would fail any car where the light is too blue. asked 3 of the MOT testers there and all said the same, no problem with HID so long as the beam pattern is legal. Stick with 4300k and you will be fine.

Nothing definitive and I guess all testers will make their own minds up on the wording of the rules.
