    confused Any ideas please.

    Fitted a Blaupunkt head unit with a steering wheel interface, but i have a strange problem,the wheel controls work fine with the ignition on or off until i start the car then they stop working!.I've tried the turning the stereo off then starting ,a new ignition feed,a new interface and even a new stereo (different type)and still no joy, what am i missing?, no feeds or earths seem to be dropping out and its doing my head in,PLEASE any ideas?.

    could be the can bus mesages when the enigne is running are upseting the switch controls ..............

    yeah, when i was checking the wires i got 4.5v so it could be canbus (its a '03),any way of tricking it into thinking the engine is off?.

    Talk to the manufactuer of the kit , can bus is a PITA could be a faulty unit you have

    There is a can-bus interface adapter you can buy. That would make it work for definate. Don't ask Halfrauds though they'll look at you blankly. look for www.celsusice.co.uk if you phone up speak to paul he's top daddy on canbus. Tell him Tom from Southend told you to call him.

    Thanks Orka i'll give them a bell tomorrow,do you know if they're expensive?.Blaupunkt couldn't be more helpful,i spent 2hrs one day with one of the technical bods trying different combinations of headunit and interface this combination worked then 99%, ordered one in,works 0% when the engines running!

    Just fitted an autoleads PC99-X45 adapter,it works!.Brought it from car audio plus for £41 inc p&p,a tip for anyone else, it comes configured without an ignition feed (added one) so the key won't control the stereo, minor point though.

    hi bud im having same problem were did you take ignition feed from. did you join it to the red bullet connection.did you have to plug the yellow feed in to the main radio adaptor to keep memory
