Default Second caliper painted and having a test on other things

Almost finished the rear caliper yesterday. Just need to add VX decals but I have had a good clean up in the house and missplaced them DOH!

Oh spring clip is in red but was drying at the time of the photo.

Also just as a test I have painted and waiting to dry to the wheel nut covers and center cap in red smooth hammerite. Didn't wan't to spend 7 quid on a can of spray paint if it didn't like the finished effect.

If I dont like the finish or the what they look once fitted then its a cheap and easy fix. So far though it ain't looking too bad.

See what happens when the rain hits and I get board in house lol

More runs than linford christy (think thats the spelling). Jokeing to the side i think its looks good, keep looking at my wheel nut covers thinking i should paint them rather than them sitting on the mantel piece.

Seeing as your calipers are red and black why not paint the griffin black too? Would look good against the red of the wheel centre cap IMHO.

It does look a tad orange, are the wheel centres easy to get off or is it wheel off job.

Small flat head screwdriver eased under the edge takes them off, put a piece of rag under the screwdriver so as not to damage the paint when levering off. Gentle taps with the palm of your hand will reseat them easily enough.

Very easy mate. Used a cutlery knife with a cloth and it popped off in a few mins.

Nice idea btw about the black griffins. As I said its just a test and I will post up a pic once done. I may then go that route but going to see what its like first off.

Thanks for the idea though. I always like to dabble and also get new ideas off other members.

The colour is a bright blood red. Again just the phone can't handle pics to well.

    Cheers all

I think the black griffin with the red wheel cap would work well. The rest looks great btw.

im liking that ,looking at doing something to my centre caps. if you cant find the other ones , i have some off the bigger vauxhall decals in red you can have ,/or small in white .if you go down the different colour route .

the vectra has gone , but not far away so ill still see it form time to time
