about halfway through 2004 the cars went from half canbus to full can bus , so make sure you get the correct one.

Do you have a 3 of 4 spoke steering wheel?

    I think;
    4 spoke = half canbus
    3 spoke = full canbus

however I maybe wrong , ask the seller what the donor car had.

My steering wheel has buttons and scrollers

Scroller is for the volume and menu movement

So does that mean facelift clocks will fit as long as thier diesel and have the small window under the rv counter?

Also mines was registered in December 2004

It doesn't matter whether it has 3 or 4 spokes.
I have a late March 2005 Full CAN Pre-facelift Vectra with a four spoke steering wheel and retro-fitted scroller controls.

As you have scrollers with your buttons, then you have a Full CAN set-up. And December 2004 means a very early Full CAN Pre-facelift vehicle.

You can indeed fit the clocks from any October 2004 onward vehicle, however it will need to be programmed into your car.

ALL modules in the vectra need to be programmed in with Tech 2 or Vauxcom.

Hopefully the instrument panel will be in a divorced state, otherwise you would need the donor vehicle's car pass number to access it for prgramming.

Opcom is the euro-version of Vauxcom, so yes it is possible with this device.

PS - be aware that Opcom is not openly discussed on this forum, as any support is available from Ilexa, Auto3m and Opcom.hu.

There are also other independent forums for the discussion of this device.

By the way - Just to totally confuse matters - it is also possible to retro fit a full CAN set-up into a half CAN vehicle.
This is quite involved, but do-able.
I regularly give advice and information on this particular upgrade / modification.
