    Default flat spot but different

I noticed something yesterday for the first time on my car and need to get opinions from the collective.

I seem to have a lack of power between 1500 > 2000rpm from 2K it feels all normal.
Now when I say flat spot I mean the hint of one only really but I want to nip it in the bud. My car I know very very well and it feels slightly down on power nothing more.

It started after trying to accelerate up a VERY! steep hill and felt like the handbrake was on, so much so from a standing start 1st into second I had to go back to first again to get her going.

Any suggestions apart from boost pipes and EGR as I will strip the EGR tomorrow and check all boost pipes and sensor.

Car is late 2007 150 CDTi with airbox mod and done 68K miles

Well I started at the front and worked backwards and what do you know

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...flat+spot+cdti

I followed Richards fix (apart from busting one of the rubber mounts for the BCS to the letter and gently prized off the filter under the cap, I then cleaned it in WD40 then turps before air drying it gently.

The amount of crud removed was incredible.

I put it back together mounted it back up and WD40'd the electrical connection.

Test drive reveals my car is 100% back to her old self and pulling as she used to at 1500rpm plus.

A fantastic post by Richard helped me to a complete repair!

    Thanks matey
