    Default Noisy blower fan

How on earth do you describe a noise?
My blower fan works fine apart from sometimes it sounds as though it's loose or a slight rattling, sometimes a slight 'chirping' sound. Hopefully you get the idea.
Anyway does this mean it's on it's way out?
If so am I best going to a scrappy and getting one as I should imagine they're pricey (after a new diesel pump, turbo, egr valve etc. etc. anything above a fiver is now pricey).
And lastly how easy for a complete novice to remove and replace?

    All suggestions advice greatly appreciated.

take the pollen filter out and turn it by hand. if its stiff and starting to seize you'll blow the resistor. you could try spraying wd40 on it but it sounds like the bearings are worn.

I wondered if it's the bearings. I thought access to this was from under the glove box?

You'll need a new blower motor mate. Check your skuttle tray too for water.

yes you remove/replace by the 7 torque screws and the fan slides out under the glove box. but if you take the pollen filter out you can turn the fan by hand and see its stiff and spray wd40 on it. also check the scuttle isn't blocked while your their.
