    Default map sensor

    Hi, I have a cdti 150 auto 2007, engine light on code reads map sensor, is this the same as boost sensor? I cleaned boost sensor but light still on, will be a case of new one needed thanks Andy

    Have you cleaned it then cleared the code? If you havent cleared it, it may stay on for a few starts.

    Not tried to reclear yet, it wouldn't reset when it was bein read is that normal?

    So, with the engine off, just key in the ignition to first click and reader plugged in... you cant clear the fault?

    As far as I'm aware, I thought it would at least clear but then if the fault was still present immediately pop up again? Is the sensor plugged in and seated properly?

    What code reader are you using?

    What type of diagnostics are you trying to use? Are you telling it correct year engine etc?

    Don't no what comp it is going to go back tomorrow, but no would not go out, normally you can reset a fault code but this didn't even flicker,
