    Eek Insignia Elite centre console creaking

    Recently taken delivery of new Insignia Sports Tourer Elite in white. CDTi 160 manual. Great car but the centre console creaked around corners and when you leant on it. Drove me mad!!

    However a can of 3 in 1 silicon spray (NOT oil!) did the trick. First remove the gear lever gaiter - starting from the rear gently. Spray some stuff around the inside of the area, then with the small nozzle attached, spray around the chrome trim on the inside edge. You will see the silicon flow into the gap. Clean up with a lint free cloth.

    No more creaks!!
