Default Wife strikes again, this time speeding fine

Hi guys, abit of advice please. so last week my stupid wife decided to park the car in a ditch (a ditch so large the whole of warrington wont park anywhere near) except my wife, so now everytime i drive the car theres a funny burning smell, but it was an accident she says, but thats another story. So this morning a letter came through our door, opened it and thought oh poop, a speeding fine. I checked the date and time and i was working. so must have been the wife, letter says 35 in 30 mph zone. Now this speed camera in question could not be more obvious if it had flashing lights around it so why the hell she got caught by this camera is beyond me. my question is, what are the chances of her being offered one of them your a naughty boy/girl speed courses and not getting the points. and also how will her having three points affect our car insurance, shes a named driver on my policy. thanks guys.

ps, if anyone is looking for a wife/girlfriend i have a 30 year old one for sale, infact i will pay you £100 to take her, thanks

In lincs if it is your first offence you get offered the course. After doing the course if you get caught in 3 years then you get done. Course cost me £80 last year. Don't think an SP30 affects insurance much. Had one about 10 years ago. What peed me off though was having to pay to get the points removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends, some will only do 10% over the speed limit. Any points on a licence will have an effect on the insurance.

Regarding the burning smell, it is probably something stuck to the hot exhaust?

Never affected mine chewy. Then again 60 is cheaper than 80 for the course unless they added it each year for 3 years

According to my buddy in insurance, 3 points never used to affect your premium, however in recent years this has changed

Think you will be given the awarness course as your below 37 and over 33 so your in the right speeding zone, you will be sent it after you have pleaded guity to the offence

I got offered the course option a few years ago in Staffordshire.
I was doing 39mph in a 30 zone, I was told 9 mph over was the cut off for the course.
My brother in law has just done the course it is only a classroom session now there is no longer a driving part.
Mind you I didnt learn from it, got caught doing 63 in a 30 in 2008!!!
