Default Oh lordy what have I done?

Hi all, I've got the 6 button steering wheel and the CCR 2006 that's fitted is kaputen. Now like some kinda boob I've been and gone and bought a CD 30 (with screen) to replace it. After some light, but depressing reading on here it seems the 2 (car and stereo) are incompatible - does someone more enlightened than myself in such matters fancy confirming this dire prognosis for me or, preferably bringing a ray of sunshine into my otherwise grey and dreary life
    Cheers, Ian.

If you are going from a CCR2006 to a CD30, then you will be able to achieve a fully functional set-up, however there is a chunk of wiring changes and connector changes to do.

    You would need.

    1) An aerial converter lead- Convert from ISO aerial to Fakra (female fakra)
2a) An ISO to Quadlock adapter lead - SOT122S or ISO2CAR lead.
2b) Completely juggle the head-unit wires to suit, and add some wires to drive the display CAN (= 2 extra wires.)

3a) If you currently have the small half-height display, then you will need to change to a 32 pin connector plug.
3b) Completely change the wire locations to suit a 32 pin full CAN display connector.
3c) Even if you have the full size half can display with 32 pin connector, you will still need to move / remove or add some power and ground wires

    4) You would need to change your steering wheel buttons to full-CAN scrollers... and this may require the steering wheel back plate to be swapped.

    5) Then re-program the CIM module to change from buttons to scrollers.
If you fit scrollers, but don't program to suit, you will sound the horn if you press any of the right hand buttons or scroller.

    6) Finally if you have electronic climate control, you may need to fit a full CAN heater control panel for it to work properly.

Right then, back on ebay with it. which units are a direct fit (has the full height display)? The fitted garbage isn't even the original (code didn't work). Thanks for the help peeps.

The most likely units to fit your car are: -

    CDR2005,
    CCR2006,
    etc...
    Anything with
CCR, CDR, CCRT lettering in the model name... numbers are 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

NCDC 2013 / 2015 and NCDR 2011 units will need extra wiring to fit to your car, but at-least they are not Quadlock / fakra units.
