    Default Rear Brake pads

Any body had problems fitting pads.
Had a set from Euro Car Parts-Pagid pads and found the lugs on the pad that locates into the piston would not fit. The lugs were about 3-4mm out. So bought another set from Allparts-Delphi and found these were the same.

I've not the had the rear pads out on my vec but if they are anything like other vaux's you need almost squeeze the clip into place, sometimes they are tight but nothing a pair of pliers can't solve, or am I understanding your problem incorrectly?

Swap them around, the pad with the clip should be next to the piston.. the lugs should be a different distance on the inside and outside pad.

If the lugs fitted into the piston, the piston wouldn't be able to rotate, thus stopping the footbrake and handbrake from working. Also it would knacker up the caliper and piston as well.
