    Default Hairdresser or not??

I'm going through another 'I want a new car' phase!! I simply can't fit the kids in a Brera (The missus won't let me cut their legs off ) so I was browsing Autotrader. Looking for something a bit different and very 'mid-life crisis'.

    Found this-

    It's a 2.0t aero with 210bhp

I like the look of it (love the colour), but just not sure if it's 'me'! Wife likes it a lot, which is a bonus.

Opnions please-good and bad. (At least it's a Vec underneath- and it's a lot cheaper than an Audi A4 Cabrio)

Like it, but you need to have the weather to really justify the soft-top (and the extra cost of the soft-top). I would probably be able to get the roof down for a week in July.

Good time of the year to buy a soft top, from a haggling point of view.

The Volvo option is also nice, does not seem to have the same hairdresser tag

You may be able to swap some spare parts from the work cars

I very much like the 9-3, but as a convertable I think its a little hairdressery. you tend to see lady reps in these. Good solid Vec-c base too!!

If you get a volvo make sure it has the premium sound pro logic system or the later dynaudio system, for a factory fit system its blindingly brilliant makes the bose systems in audis look second rate , dynaudio is available in the passat but because bulid quality has nosedived the car rattles and reverberates when cranked up , my mates has been back to the stealers for numerous faults as well as rattles , he also reckons me vectra is better nailed together !

Get in tune with your feminine side and buy the Saab, you know you want to. Great car - pigawful reliability.

Had a 9-3 areo for a long weekend on their corporate test drive scheme - brilliant!!

Gopher it - you might have a breakdown or two but you will love it
