    Default AC condenser

Had the car 2 years now and air conditioning has never worked, got it checked by a mate and was a hole in the condenser, bearing in mind the ac hasnt been used for a while how do i know if the compressor still works, as i can probably run to a new condensor but if the pumps gone its not worth starting with? Any help appreciated

Took mine to an aircon specialist. They filled the system with some type of gas, not refridgerent and dye. Then switched the aircon on, checked the compressor pump etc and found the condensor was holded. Removed the gas from the system and charged me £10. If your going to change the condensor be warned you will need at least 2 new seals, I fitted a new dryer as well as a condensor,so I needed 3. They cost me £31 from the stealers!!!

Have a look at Advanced Radiators. Think its www.adrad.co.uk. Thats where mine came from.

If the compressor doesn't work then expect to pay around £700 for a new one fitted. I got mine done under warranty. Best to speak to an aircon specialist to see if they can tell before you start replacing bits.

This hole you have can you not get it repaired? Try a radiator specialist.

    £20.00 fix.
