Just wondering If anyone has used Biodiesel in their CDTI?

I used to produce my own biodiesel in my old Mondeo but since have moved house and reduced my mileage.
I did around 30k miles without issue on biodiesel over 3 years saving around £10k.

I can possibly get hold of Biodiesel for ~90p a litre good quality well made stuff meeting the relevant standards just without the duty.., If you produce your own biodiesel you can use upto 2500 litres a year without paying duty, It turns out that in the eyes of HMRC that if you buy biodiesel in and get it delivered (duty free) then you are in effect a producer and can use upto 2500 litres tax free a year.

This is similar to people using straight vegetable oil in their cars and filling up at the supermarket.. , at that point they become a producer.

I know the issues around biodiesel with poor converesion/soaps but has anyone had issue with En standard biodiesel?

Legally you can using upto 2500 litres dutty free a year although if you use 2501 litres duty is liable on the lot, currently ~60p a litre (£1500.60)

I'm questioning my above statement about using heating oil after more research reading some details from HMRC.
