    Default Airbag Light staying on

Hi Can anybody help me withmy 2008 vectra SRI Estate. I was retrieving a lost metal planner blade which had slip down between the drivers seat and the Centre console. I couldn't grab it with my hand as fear of cutting myself so i used a magnet.

As soon as i started the car the airbag light stayed on.

checking the hand book later only to find that magents near the centre console are a big no no.

does anyone know how I can get the light out (seat belt tensions have not been triggered)

    Nigel

Usually the only way is Tech2 (or similar diagnostic equipment)

You might have disturbed the wiring under the seat during retrieval.

Typically, the one fault lamp you cannot extinguish with a battery disconnect is the airbag lamp. Due to the potential safety implications of a faulty SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) it should only be reset by diagnostic computer.

Even once you're certain all connections are good - the common loose plug being under the front seats - you will need to get it 'plugged in'.
