Default Virgin Tivo Box = Versus = Sky + Box

I have recently left Sky + , due to my half price deal expiring and they were not interested in me re-newing / keeping my contract after i mentioned going to their competition , Virgin .

They didn't even offer any cheaper deals of give me something free for a month , They just let me go .

Any way , so i'm on Virgin now and quite happy .
it's got 3 recording channels , pause , rewind , fast foward , loads of catch up programmes , etc , etc .

BUT .................. Where Is The REMINDER button or icon ?

I know some people will say , if you are watching T.V. already then you don't need it because you can watch the time your self .

OR just record everything ... L.O.L.

But sometimes if i have 10 / 20 minutes before a programme , i just watch the music channels or some channel programme i don't mind changing half way through .

As the Virgin Tivo box is meant to be one of the most technical boxes , ( some might say , ahead of Sky boxes )

why would Virgin take this feature off their box ?

The earlier Virgin HD boxes have the 'reminder' function but for some reason the Tivo doesn't. There was much discussion about this on the Virgin forums.

Virgin will be introducing reminders functionality to TiVo in our next phase code release. Will be able to provide more detail soon

....Will say more when I can, but thought that as it's now "confirmed", I would share the news on reminders as I'm sure many will be pleased.

    Thanks Spenny .

Can it be added to ( older Tivo ) boxes without it ,

as well as the brand new boxes in the future ?

And will it be sent down the line or will i have to programme it ?

Sorry for my lack of techno knowledge .

That sounds like great news, thanks for the inside info Spenny as just like the OP I liked the reminder function of the V+ boxes as well.
On another note Spenny, I have the largest Broadband, largest phone and every channel you can buy from Virgin including movies and sports, as well as 3 mobiles with them as well. Is there a mates rates deal on offer for someone like me?
Apologies for hijacking the thread HITFACTORY.
    Thanks.

Hello mate , i cant do anything for existing customers on quads, my only suggestion would be to call them and tell them about that SKY deal
you were offered and see if they can match it
