Default HELP NEEDED: 1.9 CDTi Timing belt and water pump change Northampton GOOD RATES OF PAY!

    Hi all,

I need someone to change the timing belt and waterpump on our Signum 1.9 CDTi. There is water leaking and whining coming from the timing belt area. I can supply all parts and a decent paypacket, to make it worthwhile for someone to travel my Vectra 1.9 CDTi can be done as well.

We live in Northampton near Billing Aquadrome NN3.

The wife makes a good bacon sandwich and there will be loads of tea/coffee!

I would use the local dealer but the last time they did a cambelt change for me on a Astra G 1.8 they dropped the engine and smashed the sump

I would rather trust it to someone on the forum and pay them for doing it

There's plenty of how2 info about it, and a video I made too, but if you aren't confident in doing it then you shouldn't bother as you can really screw up your engine... If you were happy to travel mate, I would recommend Marshalls of Leicester any day, as I go there from Oxford for my warranty work and had my cam belt done on my old 3.0 Signum there too.

I would be willing to do it mate, but I'd need to get all my tools from my parents house up north in preston and I'm not sure when I'll next be able to get up there. It's not a massively difficult job- have I you watched the video I made of it...?

I have loads of tools, the only thing I don't have is the cam locking bits.

I am a bit wary of using the Siggy at the moment because of the noise coming from the cambelt area, cannot afford to lose another engine

A few years back i would not have hesitated to give it go but do not have the confidence now. We rely on our cars as well for work so really do not want to mess it up
