confused 2.2 direct fuel pump and pressure regulator issue - what the hell do I do, at wits end!

I’m just about sick to the back teeth with myVauxhall 2.2 direct 2004 reg, to the point that I feel like scrapping it! The problem with the fuel pump and pressureregulator (as featured on Watchdog back in 2009) has been there on and offsince I bought the car 4 years ago. 3years ago I paid £700 to have the fuel pump and pressure regulator replaced andafter several letters, Vauxhall refused to make any contribution because thecar was past its 3 year warranty. Justunder 3 years later those same parts have failed again, after being faultdiagnosed with Vauxhall’s tech 2. Again,Vauxhall (head office) won’t make any contribution, again saying it’s becausethe car is out of warranty. Do Iactually have a leg to stand on? Doesanyone know if there’s a known fix for this problem? I’m reluctant to pay foryet another “modified” part for it to fail again a couple of years down theline. The car is virtually undriveable, going into limp home mode after 10 minutes – what do I do next????? Help!

ebay is your best bet mate think there about £200-£300 3 or 4 bolts for the pump and do the pipe at the pump to and about £50-£80 for the regulator
