    Default Am I Getting Old?

I'm thinking of getting an Estate again due to getting another dog and I like the look of the Volvo V50 sports R Design. 2.0D. My mate said I should get a pipe and some slippers as well, cheeky sod Im 43 not 73. Not sure on Insignia Eststate as they can be a bit thirsty and the Volvo is about right size fot me wife and daughter and got enough room for dog. Seen a few nice ones with really good spec and been told by someone who has one there bullet proof and he'd have another tomorrow. I know they use focus chassis but I think they look very sporty for an estate.

I have previously had the s40 R design. Nice cars, solid build and comfortable. Fuel economy is crap for the power it gives, or was on mine. I wrote mine off as a Cat B. Hardly felt a bump! definately a nice drive and they are losing some of the stigma, especially when you get the 19" R alloys, debadge and tinting. Has that model still got the 'floating' dash? that always turned a few heads and was a cool feature .

I test drove a base model 1.6 S40, and that had the floating dash, so i assumed they all have it, maybe wrong though? The 1.6 was mega underpowered though!
The R design is not your every day estate neither with all the spec it has

Yes still has floating dash and loads of spec on the R Design. I think they look well nice in the white or blue. Not bad prices either for what you get in them.

I work for an independent Volvo specialist and out of all the cars Volvo do I'd only own the V50 2.0d 6speed manual.
They suffer with alternators and after about 70-75k they need the dpf fluid topping up and we've had a few with issues with the body control module but other than that there pretty reliable
