idel sum times goes up and down

Hi i have a vectra c 2.2 sri 52 plate and ever now and then the revs just start going up and down and sounds like its going to die can any one help me plz and plus when u go to pull away it holds back then jerks and goes ok really need help to sort it out as not got a clue so can any one help me plz

Is the only way to find out wot one it is. Is to change them one by one or is there another way and my engine has only done 80thou with full service histroy so will any think need doing to the chain

Vx say 100k for the chain but really you should be looking at getting it sorted at 70k.

with this many potential faults its probably best to have the fault codes read before you start spending on parts in the hope of finding the fault.
Ask on the forum if there,s some one near who has a tech 2 or similar you who can help you out .

The rattle could be the chain, its usually the first sign of it going, but it could also be many things, but at that milage I'd be getting the chain replaced as a matter course.

I had computer put on it but it cam up with no faults to do with the engine its doing my head in now can any one help me plz
