    Default Steering strange sensation

Hello everyone I have encountered a strange steering issue and I'm not to sure how to explain it I was travelling along today coming back from the gym at around 45-50 mph and I hit some divets in the road it felt like I had 4 wheel steering, so I did a little test I stayed at speed and twitched the steering wheel quite quick left to right fast and the back end felt like it wasn't attached to the car or the wheels on the from seemed to turn quicker than the steering wheel if that makes sense.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I had a 4 wheel alignment done and the car drive great but the wheel was off to the left so I went to a friend and he took off the steering wheel and put it back on slightly to the right which corrected it, if you look at the back of the steering wheel with it removed vauxhall have made a groove for the steering wheel to be easy to align I have moved this slightly to the right can someone help me with this

Maybe this might make more sense as I have been searching google, the car drives fine when driven normal say 30-40 mph but 50mph plus at speed it's noticeable i think something has suddenly failed as this has happened all of a sudden it's like when I turn the wheel left and right like I'm warming up my tyres it's like a delayed reaction the steering feels very light I don't think I have a power steering problem I'm hoping it's a damper failure has I'm changing them anyway I just hope it's not steering rack please someone advise me my car handles like a go kart

Any knocking from the front or rear? Rear upper control arm bushes or front drop links maybe?

Ok my car is a late 2005 and is currently on 50700 miles I do have a very faint knock from front but this I think is my arb bushes I do however have a his from drivers side front when going over a speed bump which makes me think it's my shock, I have recently had 4 new tyres has the rear tyres had worn bad on the inside edge so after having new tyres I had it laser aligned on an hunter machine

Sounds to me like the wheel toe is out.

Or ackermans angle is incorrect. Ie theyve made the adjustment to just 1 wheel

you need to get it in the air an count the threads on each track rod

the tracking is still out fella you shouldnt have to remove the steering wheel to put the wheel straight . also have you checked the clamp bolt at the end of the steering coloum as there is a thread on here somwhere about this working loose
