    Default t5 smd leds

i've fitted the triple smd's but they are just not bright enough, does anyone know if there are either brighter ones or ones with more led on available?

T5's are the 286 type used in the halos in Angeleyes. The triples give the most light of any LED bulb I've found for them as there is minimal space available for a bulb in each point.

The only way you'll get the BMW style brightness is by stripping the lights apart and replacing the standard angeleye halos with ccfl (cold cathode fluorescent lamp) halos. You can buy ones that supposedly fit Vectra headlights, it's something I've been looking at for a while, but haven't had the money to do. These need a seperate transformer in a similar way to HIDS, the BMW lights have these built in.

just had a lok at the ccfl kits and was suprised they are less than£40 for the set,i guess the trouble will be stripping the vectra lamps down to installthe ccfl.ideally i would have to get a spare set of lights and do all the install off the car then swap them in and sell on the 1st set to cover costs .i assume there is a chance of getting it really wrong spliting the light and then it would get costly .i think i will go away andcount my money i see if i can afford a punt at doing it.

That's the main thing that's stopped me doing it (that and lack of money). Only having my current set of angeleyes, I don't really want to risk stuffing them up. But one day I may just do it

justa thought, but the angel eye units wouldn't be ideal for conversion would they as the halo ring would be just where you want to fit the ccfl ring i'm thinking of trying to split my origional units (the chrome ones)spraying the insides black then adding the ccfl rings.any thoughts?
