On a side note I can hear pressure going up to the top left vacum near air box after trying to turnover the car? Like a hiss anyone?

If it's a DTI, the fuel will have run back towards the tank if you've opened the fuel pipes and there's no electric pump in the tank to push it back towards the engine.

You will need to bleed/prime it before it will start to avoid damaging the high pressure fuel pump. Do a search on here - there's information on various ways of doing it.

Just found your other posts - you have a DTi so the above does apply if you've opened the fuel lines.

PS - probably better to keep to one post per topic / issue otherwise it gets very fragmented, and anyone who has contributed to one thread won't get email notification of changes to the others...

Thanks James, sounds exactly like my problem air in the system, could you tell me which pipe I will need to bleed and what I could use as I don't have a pump to do this, I hear you can do it by loosen the nuts then when fuel comes out tighten them one by one but I really would like to suck air or pump fuel through as its hard to get in to the nuts with spanner

Haven't a clue mate, when my old dti wouldn't start the guy came out and sprayed brake and clutch cleaner into airtake and she eventually started, but if i was you i would get someone to crank over while you loosen injectors until diesel squirts out,do one at a time.
