    Default fright of my life

ive been out with the lads from work today as it was theyre last day and i drove as i have to babysit tonight. got back to the car and noticed some g*t has put a hole in one of my tyres so i wasnt in a very good mood by the time i got home. on my way home i got a frantic call from my mrs saying "get home quick, ive fell down the stairs whilst carrying the baby", well its a good job i got a tuning box cos it got some stick from then. when i went in the front door, the mrs was sat on the sofa crying, the baby was sat on the floor screaming and blood everywhere, all over the pair of them. well i absolutely s**t myself, once things had calmed down a bit, the baby was ok, the blood was from the mrs who has slipped on the stairs, put her hand out to stop the baby getting hurt as she fell and caught it on the stair gate. after a trip to the hospital, she has only sprained it and taken a chunk of skin and muscle out of her hand.
that has been the most frightening moment of my life, seeing them both covered in blood, especially the baby

Jeez m8!, what a day for you!!

Glad they're all basically okay though. I can imagine it being a shock seeing blood over them both!!

Not good about the tyre either!! They stuck a hole in the sidewall?

    OMG, shocking!!!
Just doesn't bear thinking about how something you take for granted you do everyday of your life such as using stairs could potentially be so dangerous.
Glad they're ok & in a good way that your missus took the brunt of the fall.

Mine took a slip on the stairs when ours was a couple of months old, she'd not long been through major surgery whilst having a casarean. All she could do was land flat on her bum as she couldn't put any hands out as she was holding the baby.

Nightmare; can’t imagine what went through your mind when you got in the house.

Glad it turned out OK in the end.

Your wife must be replaying the whole thing over and over, hope you both can put it behind you and enjoy Xmas
