Would it not be easier to get some frozen ones from Tesco? They are a lot easier to look after...........

We kept Chickens for a while mate, we had 6, in a coop we got given, we eventually bought a shed and built an aviary, and they went in there with my birds.. The good thing, is the eggs are far superior to any you can buy at the shop / supermarket, but be warned mate, i got rid of mine because they just stunk too much. There poo isnt the nicest to be around!!!

Dad had some Silkies in the garden, within a few weeks it was a mud bath. If I remember rightly we ate them, Dad broke their necks and my mum plucked them. I have a nice family....

I drive past a chicken farm everyday at 70mph. It's a hundred yards from the dual carriageway but the smell is ****** awful

You get some expect a visit from Mr Fox as well.If theres a way in he will find it.He won't take them but he will take there heads off and leave them there.Make sure its a solid coop you build. My mate lost all six of his in one night heads all ripped off but nothing eaten after the fox pushed the wire netting in on there roof.Dippy Eggs are lovely from a happy hen.

my brother, who is a member on here, has a poultry business selling items from starter kits to chickens etc

I'm sure he could sort out some prices and advice for you if you contacted. His ebay shop is Bodyst Farm Poultry I think...
