Talking My aircon woes are over

After gaving a re gas which leaked out within days I fitted my new AC condenser today following the how 2. Had it pressure tested and re-gassed by an excellent air con specialist for only £35. Ice old and no leaks just I time for my jaunt across the channel.

I done mine last year, was so good having cold air again lol what I did to ty and prevent stones hitting it again was buy some black mesh grill from the bay and cut it to the shape of the lower centre grill of the bumper and fitted it behind the grill. No stones have got through yet just the odd fly

I had the same probs with mine, new condenser fitted under warranty and i have bought a new lower grill and fitted some mesh to it,once i get a chance the bumper will be of and the grills changed.I used a local indy for my aircon check before it went back to stealers for repair and he was a cracking guy--totally honest--you might of used the same chap----Dave

The company is called http://www.car-aircon.com The lad is called Richard and he offers a mobile service but it was cheaper if I went to him which I did. He is based in Gateshead. Now I have much more knowledge about how my air con works I could see what a difference it makes taking your car to a specialist. He vacuumed, pressure tested, added oil, gas and tracer dye. He weighed out the exact amount of refridgerant. Top bloke and highly recommended!!

Has anyone thought of getting it repaired if a hole rather than buy new?

    Or weld a seam up?
