Default Dash Board headlight bulb failure

Hi All,I have a 54 plate Signum 19.CDTi , which is due for its MOT, It is my understanding that from this year all dash warning lights are required to be working. On my dash when the headlights are on main beam the "GREEN headlight light" does not come on, The blue "full beam light" does.So I am presumming this is now an Mot failure.I understand that these dash units are sealed and that the lights are soldered LEDs and not replaceable bulbs, Does anyone on here know of a solution, short of fitting a whole new dash unit. Many ThanksStephen

Don't think my pre-face Vectra had a dash light for sidelights / dips. Just main beams

All LEDs can be replaced and its not a sealed unit.

You need someone near to you who can take the clocks out and use a soldering iron. Replacement LEDs are dead easy to come by but you normally have to buy in batches of at least 5 from most places.

    Hope this helps

Edit may e you don't have that light option on your dash but really don't know about that. I'm sure someone will come along with the answer

When the lights are on main beam the blue light should be lit so it's correct operation

Unless by main beam you mean dipped beam ( normal headlights?)

Not on a 54 plate Vectra it won't. Your speedo lights don't come on until you put the headlights on. That is the indicator to tell you the headlights are on. The green light was fitted to newer Vectras as the speedo lights come on with the ignition, not the headlights, and the green light was to tell you the headlights are on because the speedo lights no longer gave a you an indication.

That particular light isn't part of the MOT anyway as many cars don't have it fitted. i.e. it's not a standard light. Its also not a warning light, it's just a courtesy light.
