help please

right guys went out to change fog surrounds to chrome ones on my facelift i bought the siggy ones with grills all attached and they dont want to go back in do i have to cut a clip off or somthing because it will not locate back in the bumper thanks

Can you not compare the old ones with the new ones and see if there is any significant difference,I know its not much help to you but mine went straight on .

there is one peice that dosnt seem to be the same but dont want to cut it before getting advise first did you take bumper off i havnt see as was told it can be done without removing thanks

Did it with bumper on mate took about 15 mins from start to finish,but I seem to have been fortunate as it can be a pig of a job on some cars ,Don't know why varies from car to car

i no this is really getting to me now i can see how it goes but it wont locate in the bumper holes im just bending the plastics

It 's been a while since I did mine think I started from the outside and worked inwards I located the clips by just entering them in the slots then pushed them through the bumper with a small flat bladed screw driver

Just sorted my old ones out of the garage and if the clip that's causing you the problem is very thin one on the top of the surround, it doesn't look like it was located on mine previously cos it's just folded over, hope this helps

thanks patch i just got them in with a bit off help of mr stanley knife the tabs defo need trimming on these grills that come with the chrome surrounds thanks for your help mate wont be taking them of in a hurry
