    Vehicle : vectra hatchback

    Trim : improving

    Engine : 1.9cdti mas remap

    Year : 06

    Default mas re-map this morning

ben did his magic this morning, took about half an hour.took the car out for a run and omg cant believe the difference.i expected a big lump of power coming in all at once but it feeds in right across the rev range,
the rev counter now flies round in all the gears. looking down at the speedo i thought i was doing about 65 saw i was actually doing nearly 90
i will have to keep an eye on speed or losing license is possible.
so all in all very happy with it.obviously fuel consumption is now down to 32 from 43 but i assume this is down to my driving not the map. cant recommend mas too highly.may now look at the next stage decat etc

I really wanna do this to my 3.0litre CDTI V6! Remap...but not sure if it will damage the engine as i have heard someone say that the 3.0 doesnt really cope well at all with the remap and the gearbox goes....
    some clarity would be great!!

    Nice one mrk

It would seem there is no clarity on the V6. The numbers say one thing and people say different. Some have had no problems, some say they have. Seems like a risky business to me

yeh, i think i may just leave it!! I have a MG ZT 1.8t (160)..I may just play around with that..a remap will give it 198 BHP! Not bad...

    Interesting. Thanks.

What is the increase in BHP and Torque?? I believe my Auto 3.0 cdti is 177BHP. Figures would be great. Also if i get a remap on it will it sort my EML light problem? Or do I have to sort the EML problem out first?? The car drives fine but it just wont pull!!
