Default Mudflaps, paint or leave as is?

Ok guys, whats the opinions on mud flaps. I have bought some genuine Vauxhall flaps from Ebay, actually ended up with two front sets as bid on two lots and won, so will be selling a set off at some point.

Anyway, should I leave them as is, OR get a rattle can from Halfrauds and paint them to match my car??

    Car is Silver Lightening.

Paint does make them look better but ive seen a few that have paint flaking off them due to stone chips etc a few years down the line

lol like mine you mean. Its all down to prep. My last lot didnt chip at all when i sprayed them, unlike these which i got someone else to spray and all the paint has come off.

I colour coded mine but did not put enough coats of gloss on. They have been battered and will need to be done again.

As said prep/finishing is the key

Definitely paint them, unless you've got a really dark grey, blue or black one (and even then, you should consider painting them)...

Definately paint them, makes it look part of the body and not something just bolted on. As the others have mention you need a good key, it will take a long time but worth it. Unfortunately i learnt it the hard way lol.
