    Default Filling in the blanks

Hi all im finding this strange.

I have bought park pilot switch and heated seat switches to fill in the blanks but what i find strange is when i plug them in the park pilot lights up but the heated seats don't when i switch on the lights i have the plugs behind the switches should they light up even though i don't have the heated seats yet or does it sound like i don't have all the wiring for the heated seats..

I need to find this out as i have the pads coming next week.

It's the earth that doesn't connect, if you don't have heated seats fitted, you can get the switches to light up by earthing one of the wires coming out of the back of them (can't remember which, it might be just plain brown but not sure because it's a switched earth it may be different, someone else will be able to tell you no doubt). But be aware you will need to remove that link again if you fit heated seats.
