Last job to be done tomorrow then everything is done for the service.

The fuel filter comes in a casing is this easy to remove?

Its an all in one unit with clips either end, a complete pig to change, there is a small tool you can buy off ebay that makes it easier.

And make sure you depressurize the system, or like me you could end up with a face/mouth full of fuel TWICE

Remove the casing and place it in a large vice, then use an oil filter wrench carefully to unscrew the top. Thats how I had to do it as the top was so blinkin tight!

Having looked at it, thankfully it doesn't seem to be that rusty, I'll give it a go later and see how I get on. How do I de-pressurize the system is that in the engine bay? the little screw cap near the Carb?

I bought the tool from ebay - well worth the £8 as I didn't even jack up the car. Depressurised the system by unscrewing the little cap on the fuel rail and lightly pressing the centre pin (tiny bit of fuel came out, but as already said if left for a while there will be no pressure)

Bowl under the old filter, gloves on and unclipped the two fuel lines - and pop the new filter straight in. Much easier with the specific tool though as you don't have to faff about with screwdrivers or taking wheels off etc!

Well that was easier than expected although the top part of the clip came off, see picture i've turned the car on and no petrol is leaking out, can I leave it like that how would I fix it?
