    Question Foot well lights

Do you think there is a way to put foot well lights in that light up on the door you open?

Buy your lights, I got 2 x 24LED blue strips from ebay for no money at all. Simply wire them up to the main courtesy light. I removed one of the bulbs altogether from the courtesy lights and added an LED pad in place of the other so I had a spare light socket to work with. Run the wire from the footwell, through the dash end (removable cover on the end of the dash, easy to remove) and then remove the trim up the side of the pillar. Some say to remove the sun visor to gain access to the headlining but I found I was able to push the cable into the gap along the front of the headlining with no worries. Remove the courtesy lights, cover off and 3 x Torx bolts (the bolts are captive so you won't lose them) and run the wire to either of the main light connections. Check it all works, tape the wires in place to keep it all tidy and Robert's your father's brother. The lights themselves got velcroed in. Takes an hour all told to do, easy mod.

I'm looking to run an additional light from the footwell lights into the rear so i have footwell lights back there too. I connected the short wires that came with the LEDs into chocolate block connectors so it's just a matter of adding the new cabling to the in situ connectors, run the wire into the back (the trim under the door looks like it should have enough give in it to accomodate a small wire) and then just velco it into position somewhere in the back, possibly under the seat with enough slack to allow for the seat to move or under the lip of the rear seats, haven't decided yet.
