    Default Sump plug removal

    So I brought a sump plug and a new socket and this thing is stiff as they come I cant get enough purchase from the front of the car and its doing my nut in. Some numpty has air gunned it on probably. I need a ramp

    That much force on a t47 is not gona end well!

    With him mentioning a socket presumed it was a hex head,your right though wouldn't recommend this method with a torx

    Don't think many Vauxhall Sumps are
    Normal nuts anymore most are t47. And you can bet it will be a t45 in use as 47 are hard to get hold of. Mine was a snap on costing about 15 quid for 1 socket

    What force with a torx? its the only way to undo it? I have a new sump plus so I just need it out.

    Is that a typo? If not a hex bolt, then it will be a T45

    Not a typo its actually a t47 not 45 as snap on advertise it for use with Vauxhall sump plugs. Try your 45 next time and you will see it's a little loose in there.
