    Default Repairing paint on bumper

Hi I have a couple of mark to my bumpers I would like to repair.

    Front:
I have some light marks to the rear bumper on my vectra C , through the paint and primer although not deep guess this paint is just really thin) no damage to the plastic.
Consists of 3 Marks about 5mm wide and 70mm long.

    Rear:
Marks on the front bumper deeper and I can feel with my nail a few small dents then a shallower scratch going 60mm horizontally.

Just wondering if their was a how2 on repainting the bumper?
    or just some tips.

There won't be a How2 because it's very difficult to get the new paint to match the old paint, so either you paint the whole bumper (in which case you need something better than rattle cans) or your repair will stick out like a sore thumb. Smart repair companies are about the only ones who can get away with just painting the repaired area rather than the whole panel or part, and they use different paint than bodyshops.

It's a blue silver , I'm unsure on what to do front and rear bumper respray sounds expensive , was hoping for a cheap solution.

A good body shop should be able to feather in the paint without painting the whole bumper.

I had mine done last year by a local and trusted bodyshop after some clown reversed into my front bumper and cracked the paint between the numberplate and foglight.

Be aware that some smart repairers won't use elasticised paint and it could well crack a few months later. Some smart repairs are ok, others are for just a quick fix - long enough to tart the car up for resale, but fade, crack, chip a few months later.
